Workshop: Draw your way to better learning! ✍️

Draw your way to better learning! ✍️

Want to learn how to make your lessons more engaging and effective through drawing?

Join our online workshop with visual facilitator Harriet Robijn! We'll explore some scientific underpinnings of drawing, such as dual coding, and how it can make your lessons more engaging and effective. While Harriet isn’t a scientist, she’ll share practical tips and exercises on how to effectively use drawing in your learning and teaching. You will get access to some resources that you can integrate with you prior EST knowledge and analyse with you academic thinking. 🤔

Harriet will show you how to use simple drawings to make complex topics understandable. Perfect for both students and teachers! 🙌

What is an visual facilitator?

A visual facilitator is a professional who guides meetings and events in a visual way. Instead of relying solely on verbal communication, they use drawings, diagrams, and other visual elements to clarify and remember ideas, processes, and results. This approach enhances communication, boosts engagement, stimulates creativity, and provides a clear overview of key points. ✅

Visual facilitators design and implement various visual techniques, such as mind maps, diagrams, and timelines, to represent information effectively. During meetings, they create live drawings of the discussion, allowing participants to immediately grasp the main points. By actively involving the group in the visualization process, they ensure that everyone's ideas are heard and considered. 🤯

The versatility of visual facilitation makes it applicable to a wide range of situations, including brainstorming sessions, strategy meetings, project planning, training sessions, and regular meetings. By using visual tools, facilitators can structure discussions, capture important decisions, and create lasting visual records.

In essence, a visual facilitator is a valuable asset for any meeting that prioritizes effective communication and collaboration. 💬
